My friend Dave has already been married once (about 2 weeks ago) and will be marrying again (to the same girl) in about 3 weeks.
It's a some-what long and fairly complicated story, which I may share another time but I have learned they had a Jack and Jill Party for him and his bride.
This is the 2nd time I've heard of the term (in a fairly short span of time..4 to 5 months maybe).
A Jack and Jill Party, if you don't know, is a party where both bride and groom attend and receive cash/gifts ala a Bridal Shower.
There is, however, a different definition. In the context of getting married it's either HORRIBLY wrong or HILARIOUSLY wrong, depending on the couple.

I absolutely LOVE Lillie. Listen closely because she gets off 2 great lines. The 1st is funny, but the 2nd is hilarious.

What I love about this clip is that it features the master, Bill Cullen. Also, the response is fairly risque for the time (late 60s/early 70s). I mean, they couldn't say the F-Word in Smokey and the Bandit (1977) without getting into a huuuge amount of trouble (and probably earning an X rating).
